Welcome to Mel Addison's Place
Before delving into all of our cool stuff, don't forget to check out the author's web site at www.angelaabderhalden.com.
Okay, enough about her, let's get on with Mel. Mel Addison has to be one of the funnest characters to come out in recent fiction. Despite a significant and recent personal tragedy, Mel has a positive nature, well, er, mostly. There is the difficulty of knowing how to deal with her grief, then there is some anger, and, oh yeah, a romance she wants/doesn't want.
The point is, Mel is a delight to be around. The only thing you will not enjoy about these books is turning the last page and realizing you have to get the next book in the series.
First in the series: Questionable Ethics
The daughter of a cop growing up in a small town with three brothers…nobody was surprised Mel was a bituntamed.
She left all that when she married and moved to the big city. But after a traffic accident claimed the lives of her husband and child, Mel returned home for the emotional support of her family and a familiar place to get through the grief.
Her first day on the job answering phones at her brother’s office as a favor gets her a gun in the face. Welcome home!
That’s the start of an unusual crime spree and only Mel has the info, the luck, and the spunk to tie the separate pieces together and uncover the truth behind the murders and mayhem.
She may have come home looking for peace and time to heal, but if adventure and mystery come knockingwell, Mel Addison is ready and willing to play.
The crimes may be the easy part though. There’s a new cop in town with an eye for Mel and her own heart can’t seem to decide what to do.
Bright blue eyes. A passion to *know*. Mel Addison has come back home at just the right (or maybe wrong) time. Answering phones at her brother's PI office quickly turns into a full scale murder investigation. Mel has an 'I can handle it' personality, but will she call in the cavalry before her time's up?

And then comes Unintentional Victim
We're not giving too much away yet. Wait until you get into the first book. But we will say that when our publisher, David Cowsert, read the manuscript, he couldn't stop laughing at Mel's predicament in the very fist chapter.
You'll love this book as it continues the same challenges and fun (but serious) small town adventures with this wonderful sleuth, Mel Addison. Unintentional Victim is scheduled for fall 2008 release.
